We invite you to join the KC ICE FREE campaign on May Day morning to participate in a business canvassing session!

What is business canvassing, you might ask? This is an event where you'll learn how to speak to businesses about their 4th Amendment rights - what their rights are as private business owners, how to protect themselves, their employees, and their customers from federal agents when they roll through town. After a brief training, you'll split into groups and canvass some businesses, handing out packets and ensuring that local business owners know exactly how to act when (not if) their rights are at risk of being trampled.

Please arrive to Maple Park between 9am-9:30am to complete introductions, hand out canvassing materials, and discuss the plan of action for the morning.

We encourage everyone to bring their own snacks and/or drinks from home if desired, in the spirit of No Shopping on May Day. Street parking is available on Lexington Ave.
